ABOUT TRIBAL IRON CUSTOMS

Thanks for stopping by!  I’m Eric Schroeder designer, fabricator, owner and operator of Tribal Iron Customs.  Located in Fair Lawn, New Jersey.  Family owned for over 34 years.

Customers ask how Tribal Iron Customs began. I smile and reply my father. It all started when my father took me for a ride in a 1971 Chevy Chevelle with a big block LS6 motor... the rush of adrenaline!  It was a done deal. It sealed my fate. I knew then this is exactly what I wanted to do at the age of 9. I was on a mission to find the perfect ride. Through the years I fixed and restored mini bikes, go-karts and BMX bikes.  I took my Grandfathers 1966 Shoebox Nova and repower planted it with all racecar parts. My thirst to know and learn more grew.

I decided to further my design skills by taking 4 years of art and design. I still needed more. I started working as a mechanic and achieved my full ASE Master Certification and became an instructor and diagnostician for other repair shops.

Finally, in 1990 I opened Tribal Iron Customs doing exactly what I dreamt of since I was 9! My dream went even further. My passion for building, creating and designing went to a whole new level.

I dream big and make things reality. If you have custom work but don’t see it on my site, please email me.  Together we’ll make your dreams a reality.
